The Dallas Farmer's Market is open year round and is mostly indoors located in different "sheds" in the downtown area. These sheds are each dedicated to a different type of product. For instance, shed number one is mostly dedicated to local farmers while shed three houses the produce vendors. The market is open from 8am to 6pm for retail operations, and wholesale takes place from midnight to about 6am. The market also hosts community events including the Farm and Flower Festival in May. Residents of the area not only enjoy easy access to fresh products, but also unique housing options and all the major attractions of downtown Dallas. Townhomes and trendy rental properties are available in the area, but prices tend to be a little higher.
