The southwest neighborhood of Dallas Land and Loan is located on part of the 2000 acres that Dallas Land and Loan Company purchased in 1887 to develop into neighborhoods. Mainly small starter homes built as early as the 1920’s are along the tree-shaded streets. Numerous parks including Kidd Springs and Lake Cliff have recreation opportunities and lakes. Nearby is one of the oldest golf courses in Dallas, the Stevens Park Golf Course that still has that old timey feeling. And, don’t miss the Dallas Zoo which is just minutes away.
